Removes vegetable matter from felt by immesrion in sulfuric
acid solution: Mixes specified amount of sulfuric acid and warm
water in carbonizing vat, and immerses felt in vat, using chain
hoist. Soaks felt for period of time dependent on thickness of
material. Periodically tests solution strength, using
hydrometer.
Adds acid as required. Remoevs and suspends felt
over vat to drain.
